The Physical Education program at Morayfield State School focuses on developing a wide range of skill sets across a range of areas from P–6.
Some of these include:
- Teamwork
- Development of fundamental movement skills
- Development of specific sporting skills
- Fitness Education
- Sport Education
These skill sets are developed with the goal being to educate students on how to make healthy and active lifestyle choices throughout their life.
Our junior years are taught to develop the basic skills of throwing, kicking, running and jumping. While the middle and upper years continue to develop these skills and incorporate them into complex movement sequences used in various sporting situations.
Our PE facilities include two ovals with goal posts, a basketball court, tennis court, cricket pitch and hall.
Throughout the year Morayfield State School is also involved in a Gala Day sports program where students are given the opportunity to represent the school against other schools in the Caboolture district in a wider range of sports.
