Our Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL) framework is an ongoing process designed to help create a climate of cooperation, academic excellence, respect and safety at Morayfield State School.
'Ricky Rocket' is the Morayfield State School PBL icon and helps us make our Respect rules visible and expectations for students clear.
Our school expectations
Morayfield State School supports students to demonstrate appropriate behaviour around school expectations. These expectations apply to every context in the school:
Be Respectful
Be Responsible
Be Safe
All classes engage in behaviour lessons each week designed to explore the Morayfield State School values: Be Respectful, Be Responsible, Be Safe
Acknowledgments
PBL focuses on positive behaviours. Whole school, classes, groups and individuals will be frequently rewarded throughout the year, in various ways. Morayfield State School has an Aim High Reward Program to acknowledge students who are consistently demonstrating appropriate behaviour. This system includes:
'Respect rockets' – Given to students who demonstrate appropriate behaviour in line with our ‘respect rules’.
Certificates – Student of the week issued on parade.
Postcards – Regularly sent home to families when students are demonstrating respectful behaviour.
Principal's morning tea – Students who have continually demonstrated a high level of behaviour are invited to morning tea with the Principal.
Daily Attendance Award – Students who arrive in class and are ready to work prior to 8.45am place their names in a prize draw, one student from Prep to Year 2 and one student from Years 3–6.
Please support 'Ricky Rocket' and Morayfield State School by reinforcing our school expectations in all facets of your child's life.
